English
What Voxwing sends to the server
English
In an online duel the game sends anonymous technical telemetry to its own server. It tells us where the game lags, breaks or where the network lets a player down. It cannot be turned off: without it there is nothing to fix online play with. The offline modes (the ring course, a duel with a bot) send nothing.
What is sent
- An anonymous player id — a random number the browser keeps (
localStorage), and a tab id (sessionStorage). They tie one player's records together without saying who the player is. - Technical metrics every 5 seconds: frame time, the graphics quality setting, latency and link quality, prediction errors, hits the server did or did not count.
- The device, coarsely: browser family and version, operating system, the GPU maker (not the model), the number of cores and the memory as the browser reports them, the screen size in steps of 100 pixels, the language.
- Errors of the game in the browser: the error text and the place in the game's code.
- "Something is off" marks made with F2: the moment of the fight and the state of the game then — altitude, speed, distance to the opponent, the link.
- Fight events the server records: shots, hits, rounds, results, connects and drops.
What is not collected
- The IP address is not stored. The server keeps only its hash with a key that changes every day and is never written down: it shows "several connections from one address in a day", not the address.
- The nickname is not written to the telemetry: only the opponent sees it in the fight.
- No accounts, cookies, ads or third-party counters. The data is not shared with anyone.

| fight results, errors, drops, "something is off" marks | up to 1 year |
